Finance Manager - Mining Industry - Evander

Our client is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their well-established mining company based in Mpumalanga. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the mining industry and possess excellent financial management skills. Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Accounting: Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS Prepare and review monthly management accounts Prepare and review interim and final corporate reporting pack Assess and monitor compliance with new IFRS standards Coordinate statutory matters as they arise Manage capital Treasury and Cash Management: Review and release payments Review cash flow forecasts Procurement: Lead procurement function Participate in tender committee Negotiate contracts Address grievances from local community Budget: Prepare, review, and present annual operational budget Develop financial models for new projects Taxes: Review VAT return submissions and reconciliation Finalize and submit tax returns annually Finalize and submit provisional taxes (P1, P2, P3) Payroll: Calculate and approve staff and management bonuses Review staff payroll Coordinate and review executive payroll Manage other long-term incentives Other Responsibilities: Prepare Audit and Risk Committee documents Manage operational risk register Coordinate audit process and deadlines Handle finance and administrative matters Engage with the community and manage municipal relationships Oversee annual environmental liability audit Manage Information Technologies Serve as a member of management committee Define and monitor annual KPIs Handle non-routine transactions such as interest on investments and fair value adjustments Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Proven experience as a Finance Manager in the mining industry Strong knowledge of mining operations and financial analysis Experience with SAP or other financial software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment CA(SA)/CGMA Benefits Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
