Reference: JHB002182-DN-1Our client based in Midrand is looking for a Financial Accountant to support the Financial Manager towards to the optimal use of financial management. To ensure best practices including providing financial and administrative services Key requirement Relevant qualifications Minimum 3-5 years solid accounting experience Strong Excel skills, proficiency with MS Office suite Excellent communication skills, time management-able to plan, prioritize and organize Strong problem-solving abilities and numerical aptitude, accurate with attention to detail, able to work under pressure and deadline driven, able to work independently and in a team Strong planning, analytical, reconciliation skills Key responsibility Process monthly journals in Sage as per schedules(provisions, preference shares, pre payments, long-term rentals, petty cash and procurement cards, payroll and ad-hoc journals Capture additions (new assets) and disposal in the fixed assets register Calculate and process monthly depreciation Agree fixed assets register with trial balance and Syrinx listing Compile list of disposals and additions Admin of insurance claims Collate and prepare necessary documentation for claims Communicate progress of claims to all stakeholders Reconcile stock valuation, debtors, revenue and VAT monthly Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and submit within the due dates R360 000 - R420 000
