Financial Accountant - - Cape Town Region

My client seeks a detail-oriented and highly skilled individual with a strong background in accounting and exceptional proficiency in Excel to join their finance team as a Financial Accountant. Hybrid working environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial reporting, analysis and data driven processes within the organization. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas. Responsibilities: Financial Accounting and Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial accounting tasks and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Prepare month end journals and trial balance reconciliations. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance. Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel functions and formulas to manipulate and analyze large datasets. Design and maintain complex financial models for forecasting and budgeting. Develop automated tools and dashboards to streamline financial reporting processes. Accounting Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with year end statutory audits. Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting systems. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors. Requirements: Bachelor degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-3 years experience in similar role. Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas. Salary: R 25 000 per month (CTC) Interested?
