Job Position: Financial Accountant Ref: 4710 Location: PE/Gqeberha Salary: R35 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience Qualifications / Requirements: • University Degree or equivalent experience • SAIPA qualified or SAICA Articles • 4 years of experience in an accounting environment • Self-management – attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture • Self-driven, disciplined and accountable • Ability to define and analyse a problem, gather necessary information, and draw valid conclusions for problem resolution • Welcoming of constructive criticism • Technical – knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts payables and accounts receivables • Knowledge of foreign currencies • Technological – working knowledge of MS Office Suite • Intermediate proficiency in Excel • Ability to become proficient in organization’s various systems • Interpersonal – ability to work in a small office environment as part of a team • Ability to positively address customer service concerns • Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions regarding customer inquiries • Language – Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English • Ability to read, write, and speak in other languages desirable • Ability to communicate professionally via all forms of media, both verbal and written Key Performance Areas: • Review the general ledger and prepare the balance sheet reconciliations monthly to ensure allocations are done correctly • Review bank reconciliations • Monthly journals • Submit monthly VAT returns and audit schedules when requested • Intercompany invoicing • Courier billing to stores • Foreign creditors • Prepare the forward cover spreadsheet • Monitor the exchange rates daily and advise if additional forward cover purchases are required • Stock control through cycle counts and full stock counts • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting The post Financial Accountant appeared first on freerecruit.co.za .
