Job Purpose:

Temporary Financial Accountant responsibilities include budgeting, managing tax payments and performing internal audits. The incumbent will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Ultimately, the incumbent will ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support our companys investments.

Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting with articles completed, CA (SA)
Minimum 1 year post articles experience
Broad knowledge of accounting practices (IFRS) etc
Experience in Telecommunications Industry is advantageous

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Calculation of Income and Deferred Tax
Assist with managing external audits
Assist the FM during the preparation of budgets and Forecasts
Assist with revenue reporting
Review of contractor payment files
Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Oversee and manage leases
Identify and implement additional financial controls needed for IFRS for SMES/Full IFRS
Fixed Asset Management (Fixed assets master update, manage depreciation and wear and tear schedules, managed asset verifications)
Other adhoc tasks required from Financial Manager
Work alongside the Financial Manager to enable the team to achieve its monthly accurate accounting and reporting objectives
Compilation of financial statements at individual and consolidated level on CaseWare
Assist with Due Diligence Reporting (adhoc)
