We are a forward-thinking and fast-expanding organization dedicated to achieving excellence in our specialized domain. We are currently in search of a talented Financial Accountant to become an integral part of our finance team and play a key role in driving the ongoing success of our company. Position Overview: As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing various financial aspects of our business. You will be responsible for handling accruals provisions, credit notes, discount allowed, interest on overdue accounts, rebates, advertising, CGIC aggregate fund, bad debt, incentives, overdraft facility, general provisions, income statement reconciliations, and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Accruals Provisions – Customer Related: Manage and reconcile credit notes. Monitor and account for discount allowed. Handle interest on overdue accounts. Administer and account for rebates. Manage advertising-related financial transactions. Oversee financial aspects of CGIC aggregate fund. Monitor and account for bad debt. Provisions – Other: Handle and account for various incentives. Manage financial aspects of the overdraft facility. Administer general provisions. Other Responsibilities: Conduct income statement reconciliations and analysis. Oversee the office ordering process for stationery and groceries. In addition to the specified duties, you will be expected to handle any other tasks or responsibilities that align with your job title and contribute to the overall financial well-being of the company. This may include addressing ad-hoc financial queries, participating in special projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of financial processes. Flexibility and a proactive approach to undertaking additional responsibilities as needed are key aspects of this role. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. CIMA) is highly desirable. Years of relevant experience in financial accounting. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Market Related
