The incumbent will be responsible for analysing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine and maintain financial records or other financial activities as well as perform specific close-related activities and provide administrator in maintaining financial reporting and accounting systems functions. Specific: Prepare monthly in-depth financial analysis on the financial position and operating performance of business units within the Group Work with key data from business units to draw analytical insights and forecast trends Perform financial modeling and operating performance analysis using historical and forecast financial information for various business units within the Group Prepare financial models for the Group for key financial and operational metrics, in order to protect the financial health of the company General: Assist with the day-to-day maintenance, optimisation, and administration of the Group consolidation accounting system Assist the Group Finance Manager with the preparation of Group-wide monthly consolidated financial information in the form of monthly operations and exco reports to be presented by EGM Finance and Chief Financial Officer Assist in the preparation of budgets and re-forecasting Assist in the calculation of potential impairments and fair value adjustments in line with appropriate accounting standards Prepare valuation models using appropriate accounting information and valuation methodologies Assist the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of interim and annual financial statements in an accurate, complete and consolidated manner in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”) Regulations, Companies and Corporations Act and other relevant industry standards Prepare statutory annual financial statements for companies in the Group, in accordance with IFRS Assist with the annual external audit by working directly with the external auditors in delivering information in a timely and accurate manner Assist the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of reports to be delivered by the Chief Operating Officer Assist the financial manager in the preparation of year-end and half-year reports for the Group including, but not limited to: Interim and Annual Financial Statements; SENS announcements and shareholder circulars; Integrated report; Results Presentation Results booklet Minimum – Chartered Accountant 0-3 years' related work experience in a corporate and / or consulting environment. ‘Big four' articles advantageous. IT and Financial Systems Background will be beneficial. Jedox system knowledge and experience preferred but not essential Finnivo system knowledge and experience preferred but not essential Strong Microsoft Office proficiency is essential.
