About the Position The Financial Analyst will support USAID/Southern Africa's Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO) under the Southern Africa Mission Support (SAMS) Institutional Support Contract (ISC). The Financial Analyst will work with another Financial Analyst to ensure proper coverage, supporting the Mission and the FA team's localization efforts. This is a six-month (6) assignment located onsite in Pretoria, South Africa. Responsibilities Support implementing partners (IPs) through training, site visits, and financial reviews. Provides financial analysis support to technical teams in USAID client missions/offices. Supports technical teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of USAID projects through performance of financial activity analysis, reviews, and assessments. Enhance the integrity of internal operations and controls through periodic review of management and accounting control. Lead or assist in the conduct of the Mission's Audit Management Resolution Program, including development of the Mission audit plan and tracking timely closure of audit recommendations. Qualifications Must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience. Must have prior experience with USAID, preference given to those candidates with experience at USAID Missions. Specific knowledge of USAID regulations and policies with Mission audit and financial management is highly desired. Must have strong communication and writing skills with proven experience in financial analysis. Must be able to acquire a USAID Facility Access Clearance (FAC).
