Financial Controller - Emalahleni MP

Hire Resolve's Client is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in at a mine in Emalahleni. The Financial Controller will have the direct responsibility for the execution of financial reporting which will include accurately recording and extracting financial information as well as compiling reports. You will compile the site’s management accounts and monitor expenditure in line with budgets. Responsibilities Effectively implementing Thungela’ s systems and processes, providing feedback on the effectiveness of systems for continuous improvement Supporting the operations with submission of capital applications (post budget approvals) to the investment review committee or Capital Projects Committee as well as supporting the capital meetings from a finance perspective while tracking spend to forecast Taking ownership of the cost model in Ramesys, driving improvement in the cost forecasting model as well as reviewing and challenging the cost forecast with the owners during the MOP process Advising management to optimise their performance and assisting the Financial Manager with delivery of contract control management Taking accountability for quality, integrity and timelines well as taking the responsibility for quality reviews and integrity submitted to group Preparing and managing operational and capital budgets for the department and approve budgetary expenditures within authorisation limits or delegations Monitoring and reporting on financial expenditure of the department Management of Finance team to ensure timely, accurate, good quality deliverables Participation in on-site initiatives e.g., Safety Requirements Degree in Finance / Accounting or related Field (NQF 7) Experience Operational Finance experience Knowledge on Tax Law / Basic Conditions of Employment Act/ Companies Act / IFRS In-depth knowledge of Management Accounting incl. budgeting and forecasting A good working knowledge of the ERP system (SAP) A good working knowledge of the reporting system (HFM) and forecasting system (Ramesys) A high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving ability Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy in from key stakeholders Strong managerial experience, to effectively manage the Finance team Benefits Private Health Insurance Pension Plan Work From Home Training & Development Performance Bonus If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or by emailing your CV to Financialcareershireresolve.za.com You are welcome to connect with Lindy-Lee du Plessis , Michaela Boustred , Lara Ridgeway Christine Els , or on LinkedIn.
