- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Monthly financial reporting.
- Preparation of board packs.
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns and company secretarial work.
- Preparation of business plans to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Manage weekly and monthly payments.
- Preparation of audit files.
- Liaising with external auditors to ensure company compliance with all aspects of the audits.
- Review and implementation of internal controls.
- Risk analysis.
- Managing departmental staff. This includes traveling to production units.
- Continuous evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Management and control of:
- Legal agreements
- Credit applications
- Asset finance
- Foreign exchange management
- Cashflow
- Insurance
- Qualified CA, with strong commercial acumen.
- Minimum 8 years work experience in finance or accounting.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting packages
- Agricultural industry experience will be advantageous.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and must be deadline driven.
- Be available for occasional travel.
