FINANCIAL MANAGER Bellville Our client is an internationally recognised participant in the agricultural sector with various farms and packhouses situated across the Western Cape. The company has a vacancy for a Senior Accountant/ Financial Manager based at the head office in Belville which will report to the CFO. RESPONSIBILITIES: Budgeting and forecasting. Preparation of monthly management accounts. Monthly financial reporting. Preparation of board packs. Preparation and submission of statutory returns and company secretarial work. Preparation of business plans to support business decision-making. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Manage weekly and monthly payments. Preparation of audit files. Liaising with external auditors to ensure company compliance with all aspects of the audits. Review and implementation of internal controls. Risk analysis. Managing departmental staff. This includes traveling to production units. Continuous evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes. Management and control of: Legal agreements Credit applications Asset finance Foreign exchange management Cashflow Insurance Ad hoc project management (financial controls). REQUIREMENTS: Qualified CA, with strong commercial acumen. Minimum 8 years’ work experience in finance or accounting. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting packages Agricultural industry experience will be advantageous. Must be able to work as part of a team and must be deadline driven.
