Job Specification: Financial ManagerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate financial activities.Responsibilities:1. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulations.2. Monitor and analyze financial data and provide accurate and timely reports, forecasts, and financial statements to support decision-making processes.3. Manage the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections, and provide recommendations for improvement.4. Collaborate with executive management and department heads to develop financial strategies, plans, and goals aligned with organizational objectives.5. Identify and mitigate financial risks, proactively identify and resolve financial issues, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.6. Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.7. Coordinate and manage the external audit process, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and timely completion of audits.8. Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, highlighting trends and identifying areas for improvement, cost reductions, or process enhancements.9. Manage the financial planning and analysis function, including financial modeling, trend analysis, and scenario planning.10. Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to support decision-making processes, investment opportunities, and financial negotiations.11. Collaborate with stakeholders, such as banks, investors, and external advisors, to secure funding, manage relationships, and ensure financial requirements are met.12. Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification such as CA(SA) is desirable.2. Proven work experience as a Financial Manager or similar role, ideally in a managerial capacity. FMCG Experience preferred. 3. Strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.4. Proficiency in financial management software, advanced MS Excel skills, and the ability to utilize financial modeling and forecasting tools.5. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving.6. Strong leadership and managerial abilities, with the capability to motivate and develop a diverse team.7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.8. Proven track record of managing financial operations, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.9. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, enhance financial controls, and implement best practices.10. Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.11.
