Location: Centurion/Midrand Company: Established Engineering Firm Position: Financial Manager Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce Accounting or Equivalent Experience: Minimum of 10 years in accounting, financial management, and administrative roles Job Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Financial Manager with over a decade of solid experience in accounting, administrative management, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial reporting, customer service, and office procedures. They must excel in building strong professional relationships and working with diverse personality styles. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting: Prepare full accounting reports for the executive board. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Provide monthly expense and cost analysis for management review. Prepare, monitor, and control budget analysis and forecasting. Complete year-end financial statements and work with auditors during the annual audit. Maintain fixed asset register and handle monthly P&L responsibilities. Office Management & Administration: Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable. Ensure financial data is captured accurately and maintained effectively. Manage banking activities, reconcile cash books, and process bank transactions. Handle VAT reconciliation, including completion of returns and e-filing submissions. Payroll & HR Management: Manage monthly payroll and related administrative tasks. Handle PAYE, SDL, UIF returns, and process IRP5 and IRP3 returns yearly. Attend to all WCA issues and disciplinary matters, including CCMA cases. Oversee HR functions such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, and maintaining personnel records. Financial Procedures & Compliance: Ensure timely payment of taxes, levies, and services. Adhere to company financial procedures, including dual signatures on payments and credit note approvals. Maintain beneficial relationships with banks and manage internet banking systems. Contribute to project tender phases on cash flow management. Key Skills: Proficient in accounting and office management. Experienced in budgeting and forecasting for executive boards. Skilled in bookkeeping, payroll, and SAP accounting systems. Capable of preparing income tax returns and managing financial records. Strong in meeting and event planning, inventory management, and VAT reconciliation. Excellent in team building, supervision, staff development, and training. Adept at creating and maintaining policies and procedures manuals.
