Responsible to assist, manage and schedule all aspects relating to transporting of cargo for clients, which include, effective communication with both drivers as well as relevant clients etc. Responsible for daily communication of drivers. Responsibly to ensure that cargo gets offloaded at set destination and arrange for an empty truck to receive cargo to load for the next destination. Provide assistance to both drivers and allocated clients. Attending to and resolving any queries that might occur with client's cargo. The timeously and daily update of night schedules, before end of day. Conducting daily load bar reconciliations. Conducting daily pallet reconciliation and providing feedback to the pallet department. Assist the fleet scheduler with the updating of the fleet boards on a daily basis. Assist the fleet scheduler with any other task/duties in the department. Assist with company disciplinary matter, by either investigating occurrences, initiating or testifying at/in a disciplinary inquiry if/when required (this includes testifying at bargaining council or CCMA). Comply with all company policy and Procedures at all times. All fleet controllers are responsible to manage certain clients, dedicated trucks and specific responsibilities allocated to specific areas (regions) along with their fleet scheduler that they are assigned to. These responsibilities may vary and alter depending on the needs of the clients as well as the development/progression of the company. Ability to organize, delegate and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrate high levels or quality, focus and attention to detail. Consist ability to manage multiple task and prioritize workload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Solid knowledge and understanding of Microsoft related programs. Bilingual (English & Afrikaans). National Matric Certificate (Grade 12). 2 years' experience as a fleet controller.
