We are a Sales and Merchandising Company based in Bothasig, Cape Town. We service SPAR as well as FLM in the Western cape as far as Lamberts bay on the West Coast and Mossel Bay on the East coast. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic person to join our team as a Merchandiser. As a merchandiser you will be paired with a Sales Representative and work as a team in the planning and executing of strategies to promote products in retail stores. You must be prepared and able to travel locally. Here are some typical duties and responsibilities of a merchandiser: Product Presentation: Ensure that products are presented in an attractive and appealing manner to maximize sales. This may involve creating visually appealing displays, arranging products on shelves or racks, and implementing signage or promotional materials. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to ensure products are adequately available for customers. Planograms: Implement planograms, which are visual diagrams outlining how products should be arranged within a retail space to optimize sales. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail store managers, staff, and key stakeholders to ensure cooperation and support for merchandising initiatives. This may involve conducting training sessions or providing product knowledge support to store staff. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to product placement, labeling, and promotional activities. Communication: Communicate regularly with management to share insights, coordinate activities, and align merchandising efforts with overall business objectives. Field Visits: Conduct regular visits to retail stores to assess the implementation of merchandising plan Overall, the role of a merchandiser is enhance the visibility and appeal of products in retail environments through effective merchandising strategies and tactics. Drivers license is a prerequisite (do not apply if you do not have a drivers license), having a car will be advantageous. Previous experience as a merchandiser in SPAR or FLM retail outlet will be advantageous as well.
