Food Safety Co-Ordinator - KwaZulu-Natal

ROLE DESCRIPTION
  • Monitoring and improvement to the Food Safety Systems HACCP / ISO / FSSC 22000 and meeting food safety standards
  • Plans and coordinates internal audits
  • Ensure that foods are processed, packaged, and prepared according to specific standards
  • Raise and manage internal and external audit findings, corrective actions and verification
  • Oversee compliance to all regulatory and customer food safety mandates/ requirements
  • Ensure employees adhere to all Food Safety Policies and lab practices
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant qualification in Food Science
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety role, preferably within the meat/poultry sector.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety legislation relevant to South Africa.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
