The Company currently has a vacant position and is looking for 1 appropriately qualified Foreman to join its ranks as soon as possible. Based in Walvis Bay. The suitable person will be responsible for coordinating stevedoring operations, including managing labour and equipment, in order to ensure efficiency & productivity targets are achieved. Liaising with stakeholders (Namport, Vessel Officers, Agents, Suppliers) to ensure stevedoring operations, including relevant documentation, are conducted efficiently and effectively. Assisting with planning stevedoring operations Ensuring all cargo is handled appropriately, utilising the right equipment and processes Leading a team of stevedores on the job site Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed during operations Reporting on vessel progress and productivity Grade 10/12 3 - 4 years stevedoring experience 3 years' experience in leading a team Sound knowledge of health and Safety requirements Understanding of cargo handling and stowage principles Prior experience in lashing and basic rigging Must have a Code B driver's license Proficient in English Sound mechanical understanding Namibian Citizen Kindly note that no email or paper documents will be accepted.
