Frail Care Manager/Matron - Boksburg
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to become an integral part of our client's team at a retirement village renowned for its comprehensive mid and frail-care services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing frail care and delivering exceptional care to the elderly and frail residents within our retirement village environment. Minimum requirements: A registered Professional Nurse and registered with the South African Council of Nurses Proven management experience of three years within a frail care centre 5 – 10 years of geriatric nursing experience Nursing experience relating to Alzheimer's and dementia would be an advantage Business acumen, budgeting, managing expenses, cost containment, and revenue-generating skills are critical Patient and client focus is imperative Must be in possession of a valid driver's license and own transport Skilled in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint First Aid Training would be advantageous Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the employees Must be able to work under pressurized conditions due to the nature of the work. Key Responsibilities: To ensure that all residents are receiving holistic care in respect of their physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. Responsible for administration and new admissions of frail care residents. Direct responsibility for maintaining occupancy and service levels of the Frail Care Centre Maintaining and being abreast with all nursing policies and procedures. Reputation management. Actively manage Frail Care procedures and standards (for example, bed statistics etc.) and policies for the highest quality assurance. Management of nursing staff's absenteeism and timekeeping. The Frail Care Centre Manager will manage the nursing staff and caregivers per 12-hour shift.
