FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR (Department Head)
Hoedspruit - Limpopo (South Africa)
START: June 2024 (pre-opening & induction)
TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Monday – Sunday (Shifts)
- Must be able to work weekends & all major holidays as per the hotel's operation
- 7-8 days off per month
REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS:
- R12,000 per month Gross
- Staff meal on duty
- Medical aid contribution (Discovery / single application status only)
- Provident Fund contribution
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Assistant Managerial experience OR Front Desk Supervisor experience
- Reception experience working in either a Hotel, Hotel Spa, Day Spa or a busy Salon
- Ability to pleasantly and confidently communicate in English with attention to detail in communication (verbal & electronic)
- Afrikaans language - bonus
- Spa software experience is required (ESP / Chidesk / My Appointment / Fresha etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP etc.
- BONUS - Secretarial or Administrative qualification
- Hospitality/Beauty qualification
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- At least FOUR years spa environment
- Cruise ship employment experience highly beneficial
- Ability to correctly capture information, payments or any other administrative duties assigned to you
- Knowledge of spa procedures and trends
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products
SCOPE OF THE JOB:
- The Spa Supervisor assumes leadership of the Spa Receptionist Team, serving as the primary point of contact
for guests and ensuring they are served in a and welcomed in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. - The Spa Supervisor monitor and schedule bookings for treatments and responding to all enquiries done either
in person, over the phone or via email. - The Spa Supervisor is responsible for handling of payments for treatments and daily cash-up procedures and
other administrative duties. - The Spa Supervisor is an ambassador of our values, combines superior guest service with forward-thinking
management and always strives to bring the best out in the team.
