A Pietermaritzburg based company with a footprint nationally is needing the expertise of a qualifed and experienced Front-end Web Developer & Designer to work on a contract basis. The purpose of the job is to redesign their web-based software, focusing on creating visually stunning and highly interactive user interfaces. Working closely their design and back-end development teams, you will be responsible for building modern front-end components, including dynamic dashboards, while maintaining their current corporate branding. This is a remote position. Develop visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards with a modern touch, utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front end components with backend services and APIs. Ensure consistency in design and maintain the current corporate branding throughout the redesign process. Optimize front end performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure seamless user experiences. Stay updated on the latest front end development trends and technologies, and actively contribute ideas to enhance the software redesign. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. Proven experience as a Front End Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work on web-based software projects. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive design principles. Experience building dynamic dashboards and interactive front end components. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. Familiarity with front end frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
