General Manager - Tzaneen
Job Title General Manager Qualifications / Experience • BSc / MSc Agric ,BCom (e.g International Trade) • 15 Years in a Fruit Business environment Knowledge • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manager within the Fruit Export Environment • Excellent knowledge of Excel, i.e. able to do Pivot tables, V-lookup, BI tools etc. • Knowledge of the fresh fruit production/marketing industry • Strong understanding of the customer base, both locally and globally • Fruit software platform (e.g. Palbroker / QX) and working within an ERP system • Technical understanding of subtropical fruit production Key Performance Areas Drive the execution of business strategy to achieve profitable and sustainable growth for the shareholders. Develop a solid marketing strategy to channel fruit into the markets, diversifying exposure with focus on developing new future markets. Ensure adherence to legal and food safety requirements, and adoption of required certifications for our supply base to maintain and grow our position as a preferred supplier. Represent the company to customers and associations. Oversee budgeting processes and effective financial controls. Drive compliance of the Company's Fruit Health and Safety management system Identify and manage risks.
