GENERAL MANAGER - RETAIL Summary: Managing 2 entities of the business, taking control and managing all aspects of the business. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Financial Management: Ensure that the necessary systems are in place to control cash, bank transfers etc. Managing Debtors and Creditors Managing stock ordering; Managing cash handling; Controlling margins and wastage and stock losses. Stock Management: Ensure sufficient stock levels at all times; Manage stock ordering; Monitor and control margins, wastage and stock losses; Ensure that the best products at the best possible price is available. Site Management/Marketing: Ensure compliance with different operating procedures Develop, implement and maintain a practical marketing plan, over and above the fuel company’s campaigns; Ensure that the layout is in accordance with company's standards; Compiling marketing strategy in order to ensure profitability, market awareness etc; Staff Management: Responsible for full HR function i.e. recruitment, new staff appointments, staff training etc.; Keep staff files and record updated; Ensure that staff are informed and trained on the company's Code of Conduct; Staff management including rosters and shifts. NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS: Matric with Diploma business management or relevant; 7 - 10 years experience in managing a retail concern with strong financial background; HSEQ qualification with experience in managing Health and Safety regulations; Knowledge of oil and gasoline regulations and operating procedures.
