Our client, a leader in the steel fabrication space is looking to appoint a suitably experienced General Manager. The company is based in Springs, Gauteng and they require a dynamic driven individual to lead them to new heights. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules Develop and implement production plans and strategies to optimize workflow and maximize output Ordering necessary materials for jobs Monitor production metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed Problem Solving Lead and mentor production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures and promoting awareness of safety practices among staff Labour Relations (staff management, discipline - warnings, hearings, etc assisted by HR). Stock control and management of inventory levels and production resources to minimize waste and reduce costs Prepare reports on production performance and maintain an order report to be reviewed with the Director Ensure machinery is maintained, serviced and kept in good working order Maintain relationships with clients and attending to client requests and issues General, Manager
