B.Sc. (Hons) Geology or equivalent (NQF Level 8) Minimum 4 years' post-qualification working experience · Minimum 3 years' working experience in a Mine Geologist role in an Underground Mine in the Bushveld Complex Proficient in SableData Warehouse or similar software · Proficient in MicroStation/AutoCAD/MineRP draughting software · Exposure to Geological modelling software (Surfer and Datamine) (advantageous) · Registered SACNASP member and GSSA (advantageous) · Open-cast experience (advantageous) · Monthly Production Evaluation and Underground Sampling experience (advantageous) · Valid driver's license · Medical Certificate of Fitness Responsible for provision of specialist geological service to the mine with respect to optimal safe ore extraction · Perform routine underground geological mapping and plotting the information on a digital platform (Microstation) · Evaluate and timeously communication geological risks to all relevant stakeholders · Participate in risk-assessments visits and other investigations as required and prescribed in the mine's standard operating procedures · Compile well written geological and evaluation reports and communicate with all relevant stakeholders · Effectively manage and coach junior staff and adhere to standard operating procedures · Co-ordinate underground mapping and cover drilling activities including core logging, core sampling and data capture · Co-ordinate underground sampling activities, process data and issue reports · Geological input into monthly production pre-planning and weekly G-Sheets meetings Apply Now
