Salt Are you an experienced Global Payroll professional looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Global Payroll Manager to join a team in Johannesburg. In this standalone role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the People & Culture and Finance departments, ensuring the seamless end-to-end payroll processes for a diverse portfolio of clients. Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience processing payroll for multiple entities across countries.Experience working with UK payroll.Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related equivalent.Strong Payroll systems experience (Phase 3, Trinet an advantage).Familiarity with the full Microsoft Office suite.CIPP qualification (UK) is favorable or working towards this qualification is an advantage.Ability to balance multiple demanding deadlines across different time zones.Organized, efficient, self-driven with excellent communication skills.Customer service-focused with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities:Provide oversight for payroll and payroll tax processing services in the UK, US, and South Africa.Ensure compliance with specific country payroll regulations, accurate government reporting, and timely remittances.Calculate, collate, and submit monthly payrolls for clients across the UK, US, and South Africa.Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, reconcile differences, and allocate costs appropriately.Establish internal SLAs, meet payroll deadlines, and perform monthly payroll account reconciliations.Maintain relationships with Payroll vendors and serve as the primary contact for auditors.Recharge salary costs as needed and oversee and approve global Payroll changes.Prepare P11D's and year-end payroll reporting (UK).Conduct monthly reporting, benefit processing, and ad-hoc reporting projects for senior management.Prepare and distribute payslips, calculate statutory pay elements, and ensure government compliance.Process new starters and leavers, review processes, and challenge the status quo when required.Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and maintain payroll security and confidentiality.Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations.Review and approve salary payments, third-party payments, and payroll provider invoices.Drive improvement projects to reduce costs and enhance the quality of service.Any other ad hoc payroll & benefit related tasks.
