Global Procurement Process and Technology Expert Location: Flexible About the Role This is a critical and senior role in our Procurement team to enable IWG to meet its strategic objectives of sustainably growing our network and improving our profit margin. We are looking for Global Procurement Process and Technology experts to augment our Procurement Platform Team. Our Procurement Platform team members focus on functions or services that cut across all spend/ procurement categories, as well as the wider organisation and support the successful delivery of spend/procurement category objectives and profitability. Key objectives for this team are to continuously improve Procurement processes and technology to meet these objectives: Successfully lockdown suppliers used Drive Purchase Order compliance and improve benchmarks accuracy Pay suppliers consistently in line with payment schedule Increased AP productivity through touchless invoicing Specific accountabilities Provide services, resources, or support that are utilised across multiple Categories to ensure seamless operation and inter-departmental coordination. Drive the implementation of standard processes, policies, and systems across all Categories to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance. Ensure all Categories adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and standards through audits, checks, or other forms of compliance monitoring. Act as a bridge between Categories, facilitating communication, aligning goals, and resolving conflicts or discrepancies. Oversee the utilisation of resources shared across multiple Categories, such as data, software systems, or physical resources. Identify and implement process improvements, efficiencies, or innovations that can benefit multiple Categories. Assess and mitigate risks that could impact multiple Categories or the organisation as a whole. Collect, analyse, and report on performance data across multiple Categories, using these insights to drive improvements and align operations with strategic objectives. Monitor trends, changes, or conditions that could impact multiple Categories, adjusting strategies or policies accordingly. Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and ensure that the services provided align with these needs and contribute to overall organisational objectives. Applicant profile: Minimum 10 years' experience in international company performing procurement management, or a related role. Also, at least 2 years' experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing cross-functional teams, strategic decision-making processes, and enterprise-level projects or initiatives. Must be able to demonstrate experience in designing and implementing new procurement processes and technology, create strategic plan and execute incremental improvement phases of that plan. Cross-Functional Coordination: Proven record in providing services or support that are utilised across multiple functions or departments, ensuring seamless operations and coordination. Policy Implementation and Compliance: Demonstrated ability to drive the implementation of standard processes, policies, and systems across departments. This includes experience in monitoring and enforcing compliance with these policies. Inter-Departmental Communication: Acting as a bridge between various functional areas, facilitating communication, aligning goals, and resolving conflicts or discrepancies. This requires excellent communication and diplomacy skills. Resource Management: Managing resources shared across multiple functions, such as data, software systems, or physical resources. This includes allocating resources efficiently and fairly and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Process Improvements: Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiencies, or innovations that can benefit multiple functions or departments is vital. Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating risks that could impact multiple functions or the entire organisation. This involves creating and implementing risk management strategies and contingency plans. Trend Monitoring and Strategy Adjustment: Stay updated on trends, changes, or conditions that could impact multiple functions, adjusting strategies or policies accordingly. This requires a keen understanding of the broader industry and market landscape. Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and ensure that the services provided align with these needs and contribute to overall organisational objectives. Other qualifications and skills Bachelor degree in Business, Math or similar / related discipline or can demonstrate detailed analytical skills. Strong organisation, time and project management skills. An independent problem solver, capable of understanding concerns, identifying solutions and executing action plans. A self starter, takes accountability for your work, and the work of your team to ensure objectives are achieved. Microsoft Suite Competency: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
