Accountable for the overall Risk Management functions for Goldi and promote overall compliance to safety, legal requirements and corporate governance in line with Astral Group policies. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Overall risk management within the Goldi Commercial and Agri operations encompassing compliance to risk management standards, all safety and legal aspects, as well as Astral Group policies and mandates. Enforce full compliance to OHS Act and Company SHE Policies and Procedures Perform and complete workplace and job activity risk assessments and safety inspections Accept responsibility as Fire Fighter Co-ordinator and direct activities of Fire Fighting Team Attend to after-hours Incidents & Accidents The adherence and application of all standardised divisional operational policies and procedures. Co-ordinate on-site activities of contracted Security Service Provider Ensure compliance within the Goldi operations to all corporate governance and group policies including adherence to all continuous improvement initiatives and protocols (ISO, GMP, 20 Keys, etc.) Ensure that the services provided by third-party service providers, e.g. Kaelo, the Fidelity Security Group, amongst others, is monitored, assessed and the necessary feedback is given for corrective action to ensure that the agreed contractual obligations are met at all times. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: A completed National Diploma in Safety and Risk Management or an equivalent A certificate in advanced OHSH Act or relevant qualification At least 5 years' experience in a Risk and Safety-related position within the poultry industry and processing environment Knowledge of the 20-Keys system MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Knowledge of the SAMTRAC, IT, IS auditing system as well as Incident and Investigations are essential The ability to work independently in a highly pressurized and deadline driven environment Excellent administration and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing and organizing skills are essential Key requirements include being commercially sound, deadline driven and having attention to detail The ideal candidate should be hardworking, honest, self-motivated, disciplined and be able to work under pressure Hold a valid code 08 driver's license and own reliable transport is essential.
