Goods and Services Officers (3 Months - Temporary Contract) Market Related - Johannesburg

The Goods and Services Officers are responsible for performing various office support duties related to procurement within the division. This includes tasks such as advertising, administering the opening and closing of request for quotations, and maintaining proper filing of SCM (Supply Chain Management) and related documents. As they are urgently needed. Responsibiliities: Maintain a neat and well-organized system/process for stock keeping Assist in conducting regular stock-takes Administer advertising, closing, and opening of request for quotations Generate requisitions for stock re-orders when necessary Ensure safety and buffer stock levels are maintained Evaluate received RFQs and create requisitions for approval Perform full administrative functions within the unit, including safekeeping of SCM documents Assist in identifying regularly utilized items to be kept in stock Ensure adherence to access control of stores Assist Coordinators in facilitating debriefing sessions with service providers Provide administrative support in ad-hoc SCM activities Report on stock variances and abnormal shortages to manager Monitor obsolete items and follow disposal guidelines Expedite delivery of goods and services Upload RFQ opening registers on JCPZ website Conduct market research and prepare price lists Prepare and submit quotation registers Check quality of stock before receiving from suppliers Liaise with relevant stakeholders to follow-up on orders Ensure efficient receiving, issuing, and collection/delivery of stock Maintain and file all required documentation for record purposes Discuss deliverables, measures, and targets with manager Actively participate in performance management meetings Seek coaching or advice when necessary Strive to improve knowledge related to the role Implement personal development plan aligned with career path Attend agreed courses and professional development activities Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve queries Manage stakeholders' expectations Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders Recognize the impact of engaging with stakeholders at the right level Define formal and informal stakeholder liaison channels Communicate appropriate information and status updates/reports to relevant stakeholders and stakeholder groups Skills and Knowledge: Record keeping and accuracy Financial acumen Communication skills Planning and organizing abilities Computer literacy Assertiveness Self-motivation Knowledge of JCPZ mandate, strategy, and stakeholder analysis Knowledge and application of MFMA (Municipal Finance Management Act) Knowledge and application of procurement procedures Awareness of external environment Time management skills Service-oriented mindset Alignment with JCPZ values Interpersonal skills Integrity and honesty Results orientation Resilience Higher Certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field (NQF Level 5) Up to 2 years of relevant experience Must be currently unemployed and available immediately Market related Apply Now
