Graphic Designer
Our client is a provider of professional food service equipment. They are based in Cape Town, and they are seeking a talented and versatile Marketing Designer to join their team and play a crucial role in creating and designing engaging content for their company website, social media platforms, and various marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, graphic design, and digital marketing, with a passion for creating visually appealing and user-centric content.
Duties and Responsibilities
Website Design and UX:
- Assist in designing and maintaining our company websites, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement website updates, optimize site navigation, and improve overall UX.
Graphic Design:
- Create compelling visuals, graphics, and illustrations for various marketing materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, brochures, and advertisements.
- Ensure consistent brand representation and adherence to brand guidelines in all design assets.
Social Media Management:
- Assist in managing social media accounts across multiple platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn), including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with the audience.
- Monitor social media trends, respond to comments and messages, and identify opportunities for increased engagement and brand visibility.
Marketing Campaigns:
- Support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns, both on social media and through email marketing.
- Assist in developing campaign assets, writing compelling copy, and monitoring campaign performance metrics.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research activities, including competitor analysis, customer segmentation, and trend analysis.
- Gather and analyse data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for marketing strategies and campaigns.
Basic Marketing Administrative:
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing marketing materials.
- Assist in maintaining marketing databases, managing contact lists, and updating content on marketing collateral.
Requirements:
- 4-6 Years of experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in graphic design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- WordPress experience + Strong understanding of UX principles and experience in website design and maintenance.
- Experience in Figma is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in social media management across various platforms.
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms and best practices.
- Familiarity with market research techniques and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio showcasing graphic design work and marketing projects is highly desirable.
Remuneration:
- R22 000 - R26 000 cost to company based on experience.
