The successful candidate will be responsible for group technical accounting policies, including maintenance of policies and supporting the delivery of training. You will also play a key role in ad hoc group projects and applying technical accounting skills to analyse contracts and key transactions.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of accounting analyses for complex contracts and transactions
- Maintain group technical accounting policies in compliance with FRS 102, supporting implementation of policies and acting as central point of contact to provide technical accounting advice on complex accounting issues
- Maintain financial control policies
- Development and embedding of training programmes for Technical Accounting policies
- Involvement in key reporting cycles for month-end
- Support on Group consolidations, and design and implementation of reporting processes
- Involvement in the group year-end audit process, including review and challenge of financial data to ensure compliance
- Preparation of notes and note support for consolidated financial statements
- Regular review of balance sheet reconciliations across global entities
Education Requirements:Job Requirements and Skills:- 2 to 3 years post articles experience within a group technical role is essential
- Strong working knowledge of complex multi-currency consolidations
- Proficient in MS packages
- Strong working knowledge of financial consolidation software
- Strong working knowledge of AFS preparation software
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Team player
