We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Legal Advisor and HR Manager to join our team. This role will encompass both legal advisory responsibilities across all companies within the group as well as overseeing the HR function. LLB is a prerequisite for this role along with a minimum of 5-10 years working experience. Main Duties: Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and support on HR issues to employees and management, ensuring alignment with HR practices and organizational culture. Industrial Relations: Ensure compliance of company disciplinary code and policies with statutory Acts. Advise management on disciplinary procedures and maintain relationships with Bargaining Councils and unions. Recruitment and Retention: Take ownership of recruitment activities, ensuring effective sourcing, selection, and onboarding processes. HR Administrative Systems: Maintain and enhance HR administrative systems, including employment contracts, reporting, and the efficient operation of all HR processes. Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop suitable programs, evaluate outcomes, and manage training compliance. Coordinate learnerships and skills programs, including Seta funding administration. Company Policies and Procedures: Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with relevant legislation. Employment Equity: Update and implement Employment Equity Plans and Reports. Facilitate EE committee meetings and submissions to the Department of Labour. Legal Advisory: Provide guidance and support on legal matters affecting all companies within the group. Travel: Occasional national travel may be required. Requirements: LLB with articles complete Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Legal Advisor or HR Manager. Thorough knowledge of South African labor law, statutory Acts, and regulations. Experience with industrial relations, including dealing with Bargaining Councils and unions. Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems. Apply Now
