Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering solutions company, focuses on steel fabrication, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced HSE Manager with a background in the structural steel fabrication and construction sector, who is SACPCMP registered and who has experience in managing more than one branch/plant. Please note that this is a role to take ownership of group HSE, Security and Systems, specifically focused on steel fabrication and construction, and who has a 3-year tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, SACPCMP (CHSM preferred) registered, as well as having knowledge of ISO 45001 and additional certification in Nebosh, SAMTRAC, etc. This role does also require experience in staff supervision and team leadership. KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION You will have a completed tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, SACPCMP (CHSM preferred) registered, as well as having knowledge of ISO 45001 and additional certification in Nebosh, SAMTRAC, etc and a minimum of 10 years' experience in HSE, specifically in steel structure construction You will have sound working knowledge of construction regulations, as well as a proven history in ensuring compliance and alignment with these standards You will provide support, direction and coaching to implement HSE programmes in workshops and project sites, as well as review client HSE policies and ensure all construction staff adhere to their standards. You will have experience in the preparation and participation of 3rd party audits, as well as be able to conduct internal safety audits and investigations You will have a solid history in incident investigation and the implementation of prompt corrective actions. You will have prior working experience in managing facility, building and equipment, such a CCTV, security and flammable waste stores. You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record Please note that should you not be currently resident in the region and area advertised but still wish to apply, the cost of travel for interviews and relocation will be for your expense.
