Group Visual Merchandiser (3 brands) Requirements: This position requires education to at least Matric level (ideally post Matric diploma in Design field) along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and environment/brand. The Visual Merchandiser is an integral part of the company's overall performance; in terms of image, the shopping experience, perception and brand equity. The job holder must have a good eye for fashion, up to date with the latest trends and be creative. He/ she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of company and merchandising policies and procedures as well as an understanding of how a store operates. They must have good administrative skills, time management, excellent product knowledge and passion for the brands in ours stable. The job holder must be able to demonstrate a creative, positive, hands-on, can-do attitude, pro-active ability. He or she must take responsibility for their work, be a team player, be accurate and have above average customer relation skills. He or she must be able to work well under pressure, work well with staff in the stores and manage other priorities on an ongoing basis, and be able to add value to the overall customer experience. They must be physically fit as this position requires climbing ladders and lifting etc from time to time. Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel to visit coastal stores. Visits to coastal stores will be required as often as once a month, or at little as once a quarter. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Identify correct stories in line with buying strategy and communicate these stories effectively in each store Store VM merchandising & sign off. Instore VM asset management and creation. Instore team VM training. Instore imagery management (order per season and ensure always updated by store). Window conceptualising, executing and sign off (work closely with suppliers and manage costs) Team management and training. (You will need to upskill instore teams on VM guidelines and work closely with managers to ensure world class standards). Adobe creative suit( Illustrator, to enable you to create assets & design windows for campaigns). Planning & Communication (Managing stock drops , launches and travel across the 3 brands and ensuring teams have the necessary materials and information to own their space) Collaboration (You will work closely with the respective brand managers, merch managers and external suppliers on a daily basis). Provide store specific solutions for layout deviations from VM guideline. Ensure Visual Merchandising and Housekeeping standards are always on point and well maintained Ensure that all deadlines for launches and promotions are met. Even if overtime, or weekend shifts are required Monitor stock volumes and performance in stores and provide feedback Interpret stock reports and provide feedback to the team Ensure Look books and VM guidelines are sent out timeously, and drops into the stores are planned in advance Ensure a high standard of visual merchandising in line with the company's vision and brand identity in the respective store Innovative, creative and able to work quickly. Flexible and thrive on change and new challenges. Coach and guide store managers and in-store team on VM execution. Should also help identify a team member in each store that can assist on the VM and can be trained Be a quick decision maker, thinking on your feet Have excellent organisational skills Have great communication skills and ability to present to groups Understanding that making a store visually appealing completes the customer journey and helps to sell merchandise Required to travel from store to store to ensure sign off in person. Required to travel to Cape Town & KZN for store visits, team training and campaign sign off. Package: Gross monthly salary of between R35 000 and R50 000 depending on level of expertise 45 hour week Monday to Friday.
