Head Baker and Confectioner Position available at Kakamas SPAR, Main duties will include:Requirements• Experience: Baker (5 years )• Minimum education level: Grade 12 /N4 (Matric)• Must be able to produce all Bakery and confectionary product commonly associated with a retail store• Provide Contactable References Responsibilities• Manage all day-to-day operations of the bakery.• Compare prices and purchase bakery ingredients from preferred suppliers.• Take accurate stock take on a weekly basis.• Recipe development.• Cost all bakery recipes and calculate selling prices• Needs to work well under pressure and be able to multitask.• Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and health and safety regulations.• Able to produce superior quality products, presentations and flavors• Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in co-operation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.• Must have good all-round cooking/baking skills.
