W e are looking for a passionate, and enthusiastic chef to join our Lodge at Nkomazi Kruger lodge and Paradise Creek. What we are looking for is passion for preparing and cooking quality fresh food. An e xperience d chef with good skills and can work well under pressure. Experience working across multiple kitchens as you will be running 2 Restaurants. With your h ands-on experience with various kitchen equipment and g ood communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. A self-motivated team player, with a desire to develop your career , w illingness to learn and strive in a fast-paced environment. Direct all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleanup Responsible for day-to day running of all catering and maintain kitchen equipment as needed Supervise chefs and cooks Resolve issues as they arise to ensure the continuation of foodservice Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure efficiency Plan menus and set prices based on the availability of ingredients Make sure that all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen Inspect raw and cooked food to guaranty quality Collaborate with the general manager and owner to aline kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment Direct monthly inventory Maintain vender relationships Recruit and train chefs and kitchen staff Ensure that all guest & staff needs and expectations are continuously exceeded Ensure that all related duties and responsibilities are carried out daily Provide responsible and effective leadership Valid driver's license Must have experience in top restaurants, or boutique lodges/guesthouses Minimum 3-year culinary Diploma, or similar qualifications Creative menu planning and costing skills Basic barista and beverage skills Computer Literate (Excel, Outlook, and Word) Basic knowledge of HACCP, Hygiene, and Health & Safety Must have knowledge of HALAAL Market Related
