Registration with ECSA as a professional, or eligible for registration. Minimum of 10 years' post-graduate technical experience with extensive exposure to the development of electricity distribution infrastructure and a minimum of 3 years in a management position. Extensive knowledge of power system engineering and related disciplines Excellent technical and personnel management skills. Proficiency in compiling and managing capital budgets. Sound project management skills. Sound knowledge of safety legislation and practice. A high degree of computer literacy Key Performance Areas Manages the three divisions – system infrastructure planning, project implementation and public lighting development – comprising the Distribution System Development branch Directs and controls processes within the branch in order to provide a high quality, standardised and equitable service to all customers across the metropolitan area Directs and controls the implementation of procedures, systems and controls to regulate specific work and associated sequences associated with the functionality of the branch Takes part in transversal initiatives of the City, both as leader and work group member Manages the short and medium term electrical infrastructure capital programme for the extension of the medium voltage distribution network and public lighting infrastructure Directs and controls the planning and design of extensions to the medium and low voltage distribution network Directs and controls the provision of a system infrastructure planning service to the Electrification Project Management division of the Service Connection Planning branch or to the Apply Now
