HEAD OF BRAND MARKETING My client, a leading player in the fintech industry, is seeking a Head of Brand to join their collaborative and dynamic team. They specialize in leveraging technology to enhance and streamline the delivery and utilization of financial services. I understand you might be happy in your current role, however its always good to understand what opportunities are out there. They have offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg and are happy for the successful candidate to be based in either location and be open to travelling as and when required between offices. The Head of Brand will define and promote global brand identity. This role requires strategic and out-of-the-box thinking, and a results-driven approach to lead the marketing team. The Head of Brand is accountable for developing brand strategies, driving product awareness, customer engagement, and ensuring our solutions resonate with our customers. Key Responsibilities: Brand Strategy and Development: Develop and execute a global brand strategy that caters to the specific needs and preferences of target markets as part of our expansion efforts. Ensure the brand strategy aligns with the customer journey, providing a consistent and positive experience across all customer touchpoints. Incorporate the brand strategy into product positioning, enhancing the appeal of products in target markets. Digital Strategy and Execution: Lead digital strategies that resonate with the cultures and preferences of current and new markets. Implement data-driven marketing techniques to optimize digital campaigns and improve ROI. Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotions, events, and digital initiatives. Product Marketing: Clearly communicate product value propositions to various markets. Collaborate with product development teams to launch new products and optimize existing offerings based on market insights and customer feedback. Partner with Sales on brand promotions for product-specific campaigns in line with market expansion efforts. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. Present insights and recommendations enabled by strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders to manage service delivery in line with business expectations and requirements. Financial Management: Ensure appropriate financial management, funding, budgetary provisions, and control procedures are in place for the area of responsibility. Required Skills Expertise in Digital Marketing Tools: Diverse insights into cutting-edge digital marketing tools and the ability to integrate them effectively, along with a keen interest in staying at the forefront of industry advancements. Creative and Strategic Thinking: A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building, combined with strategic thinking to drive brand initiatives. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, department heads, and key stakeholders to drive process improvements. Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills to build relationships, foster consensus, and navigate organizational dynamics effectively. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize marketing strategies. Excellent Communication Skills: Superior communication skills to articulate brand value propositions and engage effectively with internal and external audiences. Understanding of Industry Dynamics: Deep understanding of retail industry dynamics, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape (B2B and B2C). Leadership and Team Inspiration : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive work environment and driving results. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in heading up brand management, marketing, or a related role. Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing strategies. Strong background in storytelling, brand building, and creative marketing.
