As the Head of Collections Technology and Data, your primary responsibilities involve overseeing the implementation and maintenance of collection software solutions, defining and updating collection strategies, segments, queues, correspondence templates, and call strategies. Additionally, you are responsible for creating and maintaining data and reporting solutions for collections and service operations, which includes developing online/mobile-enabled dashboards. KEY RESULT AREAS Bring affect to the collections strategy / operational approach by implementing the necessary changes to technology / people capabilities of Olympus. Leverage expert use of data in order to inform strategies, monitor performance, isolate key under performing segments, validate champion / challenger strategies. Set and deliver a collections strategy and operational approach that meets / exceeds the defined loss expectations of the bank. Align the collections strategy to the organisational strategy, helping customers wherever possible and maximizing collection metrics where necessary. Increases the collections efficiencies by ensuring that the current processes are being utilized optimally. Design, monitor and make changes to collections capacity model and resource scheduling. Design, monitor and make changes to collections incentive scheme. Analyses service delivery and implementation of corrective plans where required. Drive defining, implementing and updating of the decision engine for collection purposes. · Inform board collection and recoveries strategy ROLE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Informatics Minimum of 10 years of collections and / or recoveries experience Minimum of 10 years of experience working with collection strategies and / or collections data / reporting Minimum of 5 years of experience with collections and / or recoveries technologies · Minimum of 6 years of managerial experience Ability to work with SQL-based systems to extract and transform data Experience working with Microsoft or AWS data and reporting technologies is an advantage The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit.
