We are seeking an analytical, passionate, and meticulous individual to join the Finance Team at a a Manufacturing Company's Central Office based in an industrial are in Cape Town. This position will support financial leadership in managing and driving the Company's finances in alignment with the overall Group Company's strategic objectives. Identify and report financial irregularities and potential problems to the Finance Executive. Maintain an up-to-date general ledger. Prepare and sign off on periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, and variance analysis. Obtain input and commentary on performance, progress, and reasons for variances. Prepare and timely distribute all reports required by Libstar. Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures. Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal control measures. Meet all deadlines and due dates. Ensure an orderly and updated accounting filing system for all documents. Investigate effectiveness and efficiency within the Accounts Department and branches, formulating improvement proposals. Review management and implementation of costing and pricing, ensuring efficiency in Customer/Supplier Contracts. Ensure the efficient operation of the finance department. Maintain and track a project list, ensuring deadlines are met. Compare project feasibility to actual outcomes to identify shortcomings and achievements. Ensure financial compliance with SARS and their respective requirements. Manage the audit process, ensuring sound financial practices at all times. Research and identify financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting. Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Assist in developing Company Policy and Financial Strategic Plans. Provide input to key strategic decisions and business strategies to improve business performance. Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance team(s). Implement and maintain processes for financial forecasting and budgeting, overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting within the Company Ensure effective communication with Board Members on financial forecasts and operating revenue. Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions Provide assistance and advice to departments and staff on budgeting and financial reporting, including business plans, costing, and pricing proposals. Manage and assist with the preparation, consolidation, and review of strategy, plans, and budgets for the division and each branch (Operational and Capex). Assist in training within the company on financial responsibilities through workshops and discussion groups. Coach non-financial managers on interpreting and communicating financial data. Manage the finance team(s), ensuring fair workload distribution. Manage staff operational activities. Provide input and feedback from performance reviews, assisting in staff performance improvement. Schedule staff leave and maintain staff records. Supervise, teach, and motivate the team. Take responsibility for staff work, induction, and on-job training. CA (SA) is mandatory. BCOM degree. 8-10 years' experience as a Financial Manager. Manufacturing or FMCG experience is advantageous. Syspro experience. BI (Business Intelligence) experience. Between R900 000 and R1 200 000 depending on experience.
