We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Legal and Financial Wellness departments. As the Head of Legal/Financial Wellness, you will play a critical role in guiding our organization through complex legal landscapes while also promoting financial well-being among our stakeholders. Manage, lead and motivate team of Legal Advisors Manage team of legal advisors with workflow of finance clients. Handle issues related to legal such as reckless lending and prescriptions. Provide sound legal advice on National Credit Act Develop work strategies that align with business rules Handle queries escalated by the legal team Draft legal documents Garnishee Investigations Compile progress reports for the Executive Handle paid up Bureau update (where the FSP refuses to provide a paid-up letter or update the bureaus). Provide training pertaining to NCA and relevant regulations Manage Incidental queries (Debt review and FSP's contravention of any provision of the NCA) Job Competencies Different routes of alternative dispute resolution Ability to assess and direct each complaint/ query to the relevant ombuds or regulator. Ability to confidently and thoroughly engage FSP's as huge as the ‘big 5'banks in South Africa. Deadline driven Problem Solving, which will result in effective and efficient dispute resolutions. Desired Work Experience A minimum of 4, preferably 6 years' experience in a senior role Proven experience as Legal manager in the long-term insurance industry Experience with National Credit Acts and compliance Desired Education Level Grade 12/Matric Degree in Law (LLB) or relevant qualification Master's degree / MBA or suitable post graduate degree will be an advantage Admitted Attorney Job Type: Full-time R 60 000 - R 70 000 CTC - Negotiable Apply Now
