Head of Quality (Automotive Component Manufacturing) – Western Cape Competitive Package on offer based on Qualification and relevant years of experience Our client, a highly reputable Global Automotive Manufacturing (Tier 1) concern is currently in search of a strong, decisive and assertive Quality Manager to lead and join their dynamic team of Customer and Supplier quality professionals. Overall Purpose of the Role : To provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality. You will be responsible for the inspection of all incoming parts from supplier companies and internally produced automotive component to meet the quality standards and systems required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Solving of customers and internal tasks Verification of Quality Matrix of efficiency according to the plan and other requests Manages customer audits Product Safety Officer / PSCR (Product Safety and Conformity Representative) incl. KBA audit responsibility Internal External audits Fulfilment, LPA, VDA 6.3., Customer specific audits, IATF Ensure conformity of QMS regarding IATF16949 / ISO9001 and customer specific requirements incl. CCC Responsible for plant relevant Global Read Across activities including lesson learned. Responsible for staff in COP Laboratory, and fulfilment of tests, calibrations Reporting KPI, Trends, PDCA improvements Responsible for plant incoming inspection Good communication skills, soft skills, intercompany relations Responsibility for documentation system and archiving Management of Pre-serial quality including Q milestones Observe principles of fire protection, environment protection and OSH consequent from general principles of occupational safety and Labor Code § 106 Observe principles of the Business Policy Manual. Follow requirements resulting from internal company regulations and directives. Exercise continues improvement. Attends trainings and authenticates her/his knowledge. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Relevant Tertiary Qualification in BSc or Quality or related field 5 Years proven and Quality Management working experience gained within the automotive/component manufacturing/engineering industry is required VDA auditor qualification and understanding Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and industry standards. Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective quality assurance systems. Experience with quality control tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and process improvement. Proven [roblem solving abilities- A3, 8D Methodology.
