Head of Sales B2B (High end Retail) - Cape Town City Centre

As the Head of B2B Sales, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and maximizing profitability within our wholesale business. This strategic area of the business leads our partnerships with the company stockists & corporates. Your leadership will guide the sales team, set ambitious targets, and oversee the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Vision:

  • Work with the Executive team to develop overall business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that will drive sales growth, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives.
  • Brand Custodian
  • Implement Business targets.
  • Maintain & grow sales function.
  • Hold partners accountable for the brand including VM in stockists space & deliver & deliver on customer experience.

Product Strategy

  • Within this division, conceptualise & provide input into curated product range for stockists & corporates.

Market Research and Expansion:

  • Identify and evaluate new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
  • Maintain a wide network of contacts to stay informed about current and future industry trends and market actions.
  • Analyse the business environment, competitors, and customer needs to generate ideas for new products, services, pricing, and business models.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Team Management

  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Manage & develop the team to ensure business KPI’s are achieved.

Reporting

  • Complete quarterly sales reviews & report back to business• Ensure that weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual reports are completed per region.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Proven track record in sales leadership, business development, and market expansion.
  • Experience in the wholesale industry is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to set and execute a strategic vision for sales growth.

Reporting Structure: 6 people report into this position
