Reference: BIT003093-Mel-1 A client in the Fintech space is looking for a Head of Software Engineering to join their IT Dept, this will have a direct reporting line into the CIO. The main focus of this role will be to lead a team of talented software engineers, shape the technology strategy and optimize development workflows Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Requirements: 3 years within a leadership role within software engineering, managing teams of 10 engineers Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture and design Hands on programming experience (Java, Python, JavaScript) Experience in working on modern technologies / frameworks such as Vue, React, NodeJS, Docker Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, cloud platforms) Experience in SaaS or enterprise software development KPA's: Drive innovation and deliver high quality software solutions Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the software engineering team Define and implement engineering best practices Build and nurture a high performance team Foster a culture of collaboration Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle Planning, designing, implementation and maintenance Provide technical guidance and support Conduct code reviews Apply now For more IT jobs, please visit www.networkrecruitment.co.za If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
