Head of Technology Implementation and Integration - ATNS Company Limited - Johannesburg

Applications are invited for the position of Head of Technology Implementation and Integration based at Head Office (Bruma). The successful applicant will be reporting to the Chief Technology and Information Officer. Overview To develop and implement a technology strategy in line with the vision and strategy of the organisation so as to ensure stable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure. To execute strategic technology investment and resourcing initiatives. This is in order to ensure that ATNS keeps up with current and business-fit air Traffic Management (ATM), Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) and technologies/systems as guided by user requirements as well as the provision of CNS and related technologies as defined in the relevant air navigation plans, procedures and practices. To manage deployment and operationalization of all digital infrastructure. To lead the transformation of technology infrastructure. To manage and direct the relevant technology and information operations team to deliver secure and reliable technology and information infrastructure services. To manage the development of relevant policies, processes, and procedures within the ATM/CNS mission critical operational technology areas as well as integration and commissioning thereof . This includes technical implementation of all capex projects, the management of suppliers during project execution, conducting technical baseline reviews, conducting acceptance tests to ensure operational readiness and arranging training, operating manuals, and any necessary support. To provide consulting services and support to aeronautical WGS-84 surveys, project management, systems engineering, information technology as well as VSAT programme initiatives of regional and continental satellite networks. Major Activities Develop, implement and manage a systems infrastructure management strategy and roadmap that contributes to the overall organisational strategy. Ensure stable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure that is fit for supporting the growth aspirations of the organisation. Provide strategic leadership and guidance in planning and managing an efficient and effective technology infrastructure environment for ATNS. Assess the relative impact of technology trends on current and future enterprise infrastructure needs and projects. Ensure that performance commitments are met or exceeded. Lead technology infrastructure management strategic planning activities. Provide in-depth technical expertise for strategic, tactical and operational initiatives. Develop, review and maintain relevant policies, processes and procedures. Lead the implementation of all relevant security policies. Develop and implement effective and efficient technology delivery models, processes and platforms. Contribute to the management of overall day-to-day technology Infrastructure operations to improve performance, cost management, and end-user satisfaction. Interface with relevant managers to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. Manage technology & information infrastructure resource requirements. Research, identify and implement innovative infrastructure to ensure continuous improvement and service provision. Analyse, set, predict trends and develop long-range plans designed to maintain cost efficiency. Schedule and implement regular maintenance, including patching and infrastructure refresh activities, to help achieve a reliable and stable environment. Ensure ongoing provision of specialist, professional advice and consultation to all internal and external clients. Ensure that effective data recovery plans are in place for business continuity in case of a disaster or potential threats. Ensure adherence and compliance with the relevant regulatory framework. Ensure training of all users and experts of the products and services. Identify and manage related risks. Develop and ensure effective management of relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Plan, forecast and manage the functions finances in line with agreed company priorities, initiatives and expected operational service levels. Create and maintain a harmonious and effective workforce by promoting safety, professional discipline, and work standards and fostering high morale to guarantee elevated levels of output in a team-based environment. Minimum Qualifications B.Eng./BSc in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ IT Project Management/Engineering or related field ITIL,COBIT 5, Knowledge of cloud technologies (Infrastructure or DevOps or Solution Architecture), Certification will be advantageous ECSA Professional Registration is an advantage ISACA Professional Registration is an advantage Leadership qualification in a field relevant to aviation/aerospace/aeronautics Minimum Experience Seasoned professional is required with a minimum of 8 years' experience in technology infrastructure planning and management, of which at least 5 years must be at a managerial level within a complex operations environment. Experience in a high technology electronic environment with in-depth knowledge and understanding of aeronautical communication, navigation and surveillance systems is also required. In-depth IT and business/industry work experience in technology operations management is required. Knowledge required Advanced knowledge of technology infrastructure management Sound knowledge of architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations In-depth working knowledge of ICAO global and regional plans and SARP's A working knowledge of ITU regulations Knowledge of ATNS quality management system Knowledge of the aviation regulatory framework and relevant legislation Knowledge of Labour legislation Apply Now
