Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Nutarian or Food Science or Food Technology or similar Experience 8-10 Years experience within a retail, advisory role. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Customer Assistance: Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and health goals. Provide personalized recommendations based on individual dietary requirements, allergies, and health conditions. Offer information on the nutritional content, benefits, and usage of various health foods and supplements. Address customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and special orders. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the health food industry. Familiarize yourself with the store's inventory, including organic foods, gluten-free products, vegan options, and dietary supplements. Educate customers about the nutritional value and health benefits of different products. Conduct research on new products and ingredients to enhance your expertise. Merchandising and Stock Management: Ensure that shelves are properly stocked and organized, with products clearly labelled and displayed attractively. Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to maintain sufficient stock. Check product expiration dates and remove expired items from the shelves. Collaborate with the purchasing department to suggest new products or discontinue slow-moving items. Promotions and Marketing: Assist in developing promotional campaigns and marketing strategies to increase sales of health food products. Create informative signage, brochures, or digital content highlighting the benefits of specific products. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to organize product demos, sampling events, or workshops. Utilize social media platforms and online channels to promote health-conscious initiatives and attract customers. Customer Education: Conduct workshops, seminars, or cooking demonstrations to educate customers about healthy eating habits, meal planning, and recipe ideas. Offer guidance on reading food labels, understanding nutritional information, and making informed food choices.
