The Housekeeping team at Birkenhead House is integral to ensuring that as a property, we can live up to The Royal Portfolio's purpose, which is "To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay". MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas Replenishing room amenities as required Taking note of guest preferences in terms of drinks and room snacks Following laundry procedures Asset protection - ensuring all hotel equipment and assets are in good working order Reporting any maintenance requirements in rooms and public areas REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Matric certificate 2 years experience in Housekeeping in a luxury hotel environment Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write and converse well in English Team player with a positive attitude Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays Physically fit and able to walk distances and carry linen and supplies as required Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Hermanus, or the surrounding areas It is important that the candidate is able to work as part of a team and is a good cultural fit for The Royal Portfolio. South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
