Contract position

Mine outside of off Middelburg is seeking to employ an experienced HR officer to join their team.

At present this is a fixed term contract ( 3-4 months) due to operational requirements

Performs standard HR-related tasks on behalf of employees and/or line managers, and coaches employees/line managers on people policies and processes.

Maintains accurate, relevant and timely employee data through HR systems, conducts data cleansing and validation.

Supports the HR team to ensure timely administration of HR-related tasks

Assists in specific requests and liaises with relevant individuals to resolve any issues

Prepare and submit employment forms to all relevant authorities when required

Assist with compiling contracts

Assist in the recruitment process by arranging interviews and onboarding process

Update databases internally for entry, exit, transfer, leave and applicable benefits

Prepare documents

Maintain accurate filing system for all HR forms electronically and in hard copies

First point of contact with employees on HR related issues

Assist the payroll department by providing employee information

Gather staffing from Heads of Departments

Administer performance management programme by monitoring appraisals

Successful recruitment and onboarding

HR System management

Issue resolution

Finance Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste

Comply with cost controls in order to achieve section budget

Monitor cost or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste

Extend the life of all HR and site / business related equipment and technologies through proper maintenance and good care

Manage HR operations goals in a timeous and efficient manner

Identify and participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development

Ensure knowledge transfer amongst peers

Ensure conflict resolution and respond to any complaints or concerns

Performance feedback and plans

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Minimum skills required

Minimum Qualification Preferred Qualification

3-year Diploma in Human Resource Management or Equivalent NQF 7 qualifications

Role Specific Knowledge Required Level

Working knowledge of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Learning and Development (training), Industrial Relations and Talent Management

Knowledge of relevant Labour Relations legislation

Knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act Proficient
