An industry leader in the mining sector which is based in the NORTH WEST PROVINCE and within the Orkney area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Human Resources Manager Experience The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years’ experience working as a Human Resource Manager within the mining sector. Formal qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or any related field. (Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage) Valid driving license code 8 Own transport Valid medical certificate (Underground and or Surface dependent upon the inherent requirements of the position) Responsibilities Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company values and legal requirements Work collaboratively with department leaders to develop Human Resource programs and initiatives that align with the Company's goals and objectives Lead and maintain talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding processes Provide the necessary guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development Monitor compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with industry standards Effectively manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and address employee concerns in a confidential manner Collaborate with several departments to identify training needs and develop effective training programs Maintain and implement HR records and prepare reports related to HR metrics and key performance indicators Stay informed on the latest HR trends, industry best practices, and legal developments to ensure compliance Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance on complex HR matters and fostering professional development Legislative Requirements Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 Basic Conditions of Employment Act Labour Relations Act Employment Equity Act Skills Development Act Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act Inherent requirements for the position Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Planning and Organising skills Work well under pressure and demonstrating high levels of resilience Analytical skills Effective problem solving skills Strong negotiation skills Comprehensive knowledge of Labour Relations Legislation including the BCEA, LRA, SDA, EE, MHSA and MPRDA, regulations, and best practices. Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Proficient in Microsoft Office systems (MS word, Excel, Outlook, etc) Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo psychometric testing and background screening.
