Human Resource Officer - South Africa

Our Client is a leading electronic recycling company committed to sustainable and responsible e-waste management. With a focus on environmental conservation and ethical practices, they strive to provide cutting-edge solutions for the recycling and disposal of electronic waste. Responsibilities: Recruitment and Staffing: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring decision. Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely fulfilment. Develop and maintain a talent pool for future organisational requirements. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances. Implement and promote employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity. Conduct regular feedback sessions and performance evaluations. Onboarding and Orientation: Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company culture. Conduct orientation sessions to familiarise new hires with company policies, procedures, and expectations. Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate relevant training programs for employees. Support professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies. Collaborate with external training providers when necessary. HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, leave policies, and employee assistance programs. Prepare and update HR documents, such as job descriptions, employment contracts, and organisational charts. Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant labour laws and ensure company policies and practices are in compliance. Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role. Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time-management abilities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office Suite. Apply Now
