Our client, an Engineering Company with an international footprint providing turnkey solutions in the Land, Sea, Air, and Cyber domains since 1981, is currently seeking a Human Resource Officer . The ideal candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive, demonstrating a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and exercising sound judgment to achieve organizational goals. Area : Cape Town (Airport City) Salary : Market related Closing date : End January 2024 This is a fixed term-contract for the first few months, with the potential for permanent employment upon completion of the specified duration. Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or 3-year National Diploma in Human Resource Management. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist. Engineering and Aviation experience will be advantageous. Possession of a valid driver's license. Key Responsibilities: Provide HR trusted advisory service aligned with company rules, guidelines, and best practices. Optimize and continuously improve HR-related processes. Manage, coordinate, and drive identified projects. Coordinate and provide guidance to managers on disciplinary and appeal policies. Draft monthly and periodical HR-related reports accurately. Provide coaching, counseling, and training to staff and managers on the recruitment process, HR policies, and relevant HR best practices. Conduct job analysis, draft role profiles, and ensure content alignment with the incumbent and the line manager. Ensure role profiles are kept updated. Carry out the onboarding process. Competencies: Expert knowledge of HR-related legislation. Good knowledge of stakeholders’ management techniques. Good knowledge of employment contracts. Good knowledge of payroll, including VIP. Good knowledge of IR best practice and related legislation. Assertive with good negotiation skills. Good PC literacy (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) plus knowledge of HR Systems. Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Pro-active, innovative, and creative.
